Jensen Steel Fabricators were honoured to be nominated a finalist in the Excellence in Steel Construction Awards for 2019 (presented by Steel Construction New Zealand) – for the category $1.5million - $3million projects.

The nomination was for our involvement in the Zespri Office Development in Mt Maunganui. This development project saw us working alongside Hawkins Construction in building a new Head Office for the global kiwifruit company.   There was over 400 tonne of structural steel used in this project. The biggest challenge in this project was the fabrication and installation of giant truss members which weighed 19 tonne and were 25m in length and 8m in depth.

The finished building is one all those involved in, are very proud of!

Jensen Steel Fabricators are proud to announce they will continue sponsoring the Bay of Plenty Steamers for the upcoming 2019 Mitre 10 Cup season. Jensen Steel will be the naming rights sponsor for the no.9 halfback for the Steamers. This continues the relationship Jensen Steel has with the BOPRU and also in community sports. We would like to wish the team the best of luck for the upcoming season.
